This is number 2 in the Alex Cross mystery series. I really like these books. This one kept me on the edge of my seat and I was completely shocked at who the killer actually was.
Alex is following 2 serial killers of Women. One of the women that is missing is his neice. He is on a race against time. He works with one of the victims that escapes.
Alex is a family man who takes his job seriously. He is likable and I can't wait to read more and watch him grow even more as a person.
